Welcome to our house with a view of the beautiful Scheldt River, right in the heart of the brand-new ‘Scheldevallei’ National Park. It’s a wonderful place to relax by the banks of the Scheldt, enjoying the ebb and flow of the tide, the boats on the river – a perfect spot to unwind!
The immediate surroundings offer an excellent base for hiking and cycling trips. At several locations along the Scheldt, the ferry will take you across the river for free.
And for city lovers: Antwerp is within cycling distance (or reachable by boat - take the ‘Waterbus’)!
Or a visit to Buitenland (translated literally ‘foreign country’), a small hamlet across the Scheldt, only 6 km away by walking or cycling along the dikes!
Our house is located in the triangle of Antwerp – Brussels – Ghent, all reachable within approximately 30 minutes by car.
Of visit some local villages such as Bazel, Weert, Sint-Amands, Mariekerke, ... picturesque villages connect by the Scheldt dikes and free ferry crossings.
And don't forget to try out some lovely restaurants, nearby the house or in one of these villages.
